Gasket Repair
The seal for the rear hatch on C4 Corvettes tends to shrink with age. The gaskets are manufactured in two pieces and joined at the corners with an adhesive. This adhesive is not very strong and tends to release as the gasket shrinks and pulls on the corners.
We can repair the gasket with an adhesive that is much stronger than the OEM adhesive. Our adhesive is a proprietary product that was developed by us in conjunction with the GE Silicone Products company.
The adhesive is applied in our shop and requires 24 hours to cure.
The repair is guaranteed for 2 years. $75.
A new GM hatch gasket can be installed for $190.
