Battery Relocation Kit

 

 The kit includes everything that is needed to relocate the battery.

Short list of the kit contents:

- Soft welding type cables with the connector for the engine compartment end crimped on. The other connector is supplied and is installed after the cable is installed through the floor penetration. A simple hammer crimper is available from www.mcmaster.com. PN 7061K12 for about $30.

- Battery tray. The tray is custom designed to fit in the Corvette storage compartment.

- Foil heat shield to reflect heat that is radiated from the exhaust system where it passes close to the rear storage compartment

- Battery gas vent tubing for Delco batteries

- Installation notes document

 

The smaller Delco 70-6YR battery is recommended. It fits nicely in the rear compartment. It has 550 CCA. It has plenty of cranking power for operation in temperatures down to 20 degrees F. Not included.
